Beyond the Music at Firefly

Firefly is all about the music. As you fall into downtime or just want to take a little break, check out some of the very cool experiences that will be set up throughout the 105 acres around The Woodlands.

Do a Little Shopping
Of course you’ll want to pick up your Firefly merchandise and a t shirt or two from your favorite Firefly acts, but don’t miss out on strolling through The Market. I still wear my Restrung Jewelry Recycled Guitar String bracelets I picked up several years ago (the owner was a super cool chick).

I love the Alex & Ani Live Music Charm Bracelet I bought in The Market in 2012. Those two purchases make appearances at most of the concerts I’ve been to since buying them!

You never know what kind of cool artisanal, handmade items you might find. I love picking up something to remind me of a trip or a concert. This is the perfect place to find something a little more unique and fun that you’ll hold onto for years to come.

The Thicket
Two words: silent disco. This is still one of the most fun things we’ve done at Firefly! The music is always a blast. Once you put on your headphones, just wait and listen to everyone’s reaction to the DJ as he cues you up to scream, sing and dance.

Silent disco time!

The Nook
The Nook is a little something new(ish). If you’ve been to Firefly’s of past years, you’ll remember this as the area around the Hammock Hangout. This is the perfect spot to sneak away to when you want to relax for a moment.  New seating options are available or you can BYOH(ammock) and make yourself comfy for a bit.

Treehouse Sessions
Acoustic performances at The Treehouse are more personal and more intimate (remember the year Travis Barker played a set back there?!) Heading to a set at The Treehouse Sessions might lead you to happen upon a new artist who's about to become your new favorite.

The Pathway
I LOVE walking through here a night. Somehow Firefly manages to change this up year after year. Check this out at night - it's bound to leave you a little bit in awe.

The Coffee House
Some of our favorite Firefly performances were at The Coffee House.  Judah & The Lion, OAR and Shaed topped our list from last year -especially when Shaed covered R. Kelly's "Ignition!" I mean, The Coffee House combines two things we love - more acoustic, stripped down versions of some of our favorites bands, and caffeine.

The Brewery by Dogfish Head
Anyone that knows us, knows the moment we set foot into Firefly, we head right back to The Brewery...because that's where all the Dogfish Head beer is!

Our first beer is always, always, always a Firefly Ale. And this year will be no exception.

2018 Firefly Ale is a little something special - it's a bit of a 'remix' of previous versions with guava puree and coconut flower nectar. This is going to be one good sipping beer for Firefly.

We're anxiously counting down the minutes we can call it a weekend and get down to Dover to kick off Firefly and take in all the fun the weekend always offers.

Time to make #Firefly2018 memories.
