Lindsey, Back in Jersey

I'm from New Jersey. My parents are from New Jersey. My grandparents are from New Jersey. (The folks before them hail from the other side of the pond).

I never thought I'd leave, but a quick walk down a college hallway, eyeing up a posting about the Walt Disney World College Program was the first time I knew it was time to leave the place I had called home for nearly 20 years.

This blog will follow me as I explore the state I haven't lived in for almost half my life, my travels outside of the state, and my love all great food, great drink, great family and great friends. This helps me overcome the fact that I have a hard time sitting still for too awful long!

Back in Jersey

A Jersey Girl back in Jersey.

This is what happens when a Jersey Girl makes her way back to her roots after almost two decades away, and not long before heading into her newest decade of life. Gulp.

I'm Lindsey, a (late!) 30-something Jersey girl who has unexpectedly made my way back to New Jersey in the name of family tradition, slowing down a bit, and exploring my home state that I've lost touch with after moving away nearly 20 years ago.

I'm a craft beer seeker, Philadelphia Union supporter,  traveling wanderer and lover of my bat sh*t crazy family who has music running through my (warm blooded summer baby) veins,  who weighs heavy on the side of girly girl that's always looking for my next pair of shoes or fun outfit complimenter while steel drums tap out the soundtrack of my palm tree loving soul.

These are the tales and stories of becoming reacquainted with my home state. I'll show you the hidden gems and finds around the state, while exploring the world surrounding New Jersey, and sometimes even a little beyond.
